“Plants dioecious; whorls confluent, barrel-shaped, 428-727 mm in diameter with 1-3 peripheral carposporophytes; main axis with cortication consisting of cylindrical cells only; carposporophytes spherical, pedicellate, 92-129 mm in diameter, gonimoblast filaments of 2-4 cylindrical cells; carpogonia 28-39 mm long with clavate trichogynes 6-12 mm in diameter; carpogonium-bearing branch undifferentiated, 5-9 cells long; carposporangia obovoidal, 10-15 mm long 7-12 mm in diameter.”
