Kumanoa tabagatensis (Kumano & Bowden-Kerby) M.L. Vis, Necchi, W.B. Chiasson & Entwisle
"Plants very mucilaginous, delicate; branching pseudodichotoous and sparse; apices straight, apical cells embedded within the fascicle tips; 3.0-7.0 cm high, 300-600 µm in diameter. Whorls well developed, usually distinct and separated, barrel-shaped, obconic or pear-shaped. Internode 150-350 µm long. Pericentral cells ovoid with 2-3 primary fascicles; rhizoidal filaments well developed, forming 2-3 layers of cylindrical cells. Primary fascicles straight, (6-)8-13 cell-storeys, proximal cells elongate-elliptical, elongate-cylindrical or fusiform L/D 4-7; distal cells elliptical or cylindrical, L/D 2.5-5.0; branching di- or trichotomous. Secondary fascicles abundant, covering the entire internode and as long as primary fascicles.
Monoecious. Spermatangia sub-spherical or spherical, terminal or sub-terminal on primary or secondary fascicles, 4.0-7.0 µm in diameter. Carpogonial branches, helically twisted, arising from pericentral cells, composed of (6-)8-13 disc- or barrel-shaped cells; involucral filaments short, 1-3 cell-storeys; carpogonia (30-)40-65 µm long; trichogynes club-shaped, unstalked, 5.0-10.0 µm in diameter. Carposporophytes 1-2 per whorl, loose, semi-spherical, lower than the whorl radius, 150-300 µm in diameter, 80-200 µm high; gonimoblast filaments 5-8 cell-storeys; cells cylindrical or barrel-shaped; carposporangia sub-spherical or obovoidal, 12.0-18.0 µm long, 10.0-16.0 µm in diameter."
